It all sounds very basic now but at the time (early 1980s) it all felt very exciting and the start of a brave new world.
Fun fact – most early computer monitors used monochrome green graphics because green phosphors glowed the longest when struck by an electron beam. This meant that screens could have slower refresh rates and still not flicker, helping to keep costs down.
